The fraud unit uses the Front End Detection (FEDS) process which stops a recipient from receiving benefits prior to eligibility being granted.

This unit represents the agency at fair hearings for APS, Child Care, SNAP, HEAP, MA and/or TA
- Recovery is a collection authorized by Social Services Law from, or on behalf of, a recipient or recipient's estate.
- The unit is responsible for resource recovery in the case of overpayment, fraud or liens.
