We need your help to make sure the community is prepared for public health emergencies! Schuyler County Public Health, along with the other local health departments in the state, will be taking part in a drill on April 10 and we need volunteers from the community to act as patients. This drill will help us prepare for public health emergencies that could happen in the County by allowing the Department and the community to practice how medications would be dispensed in the case of an emergency such as an outbreak of hepatitis A, anthrax, pandemic flu, smallpox, or a bioterrorism event.“By doing this drill, we can be better prepared in the event something like this occurred,” Schuyler County Public Health Director Marcia Kasprzyk stated. “In order for this drill to be successful, we really need the community’s help.”Further information and pre-registration for volunteer patients will become available as the date of the drill approaches.
