Home Repair Assistance

INHS, in collaboration with the Schuyler County Department of Planning, is building a waitlist to show the need for home repair assistance in Schuyler County for future funding applications.  If you are a low- to moderate-income homeowners in need of health and safety repairs and/or accessibility modifications, please fill out this pre-application intake form. You will then be put on a waitlist and be notified when funding is available.

 Below is a list of programs and services available to Schuyler Residents.  Note that many programs are subject to the availability of funds.  Please check the individual sites for available funds.

Weatherization/Energy Services
The EOP's Energy Services Bureau provides weatherization services which allow households to conserve energy and fuel usage.

Home Repair/Accessibility Assistance
Home Repair Grants for necessary repairs and accessibility modifications. Grants are dependent on household size, income, and other eligibility requirements.

Assistance is available to low-income, handicapped, or elderly individuals and families who need to upgrade or improve existing conditions that are unsafe or unhealthy.

Home Repair/Accessibility Assistance/Septic and Well Replacement
Arbor Housing and Development has grants available for health, safety, and structural repairs.  This includes leaking roofs, electrical hazards, heating and plumbing repairs, septic and well replacement, and home modifications for persons with disabilities.
