This flu season, Schuyler County Public Health employees and others in the community are sharing why they got their flu shot on social media using the hashtag #FightFluFLX.
The #FightFluFLX campaign promotes flu prevention in the Finger Lakes (FLX). By following Schuyler County Public Health on social media or searching the hashtag, the community can learn more about the flu, how to prevent its spread, and about why their neighbors decided to get a flu shot.
“I got my flu shot to protect others” said Schuyler County Public Health Director Marcia Kasprzyk. “If you haven’t gotten your flu shot yet, you should get it before the end of October.”
Flu vaccinations are available at all local pharmacies and doctor’s offices. You can also contact Schuyler County Public Health if you have questions about the flu or flu vaccine by calling 607-535-8140 or by emailing scph@co.schuyler.ny.us.
